Our Curriculum

We are very proud to offer Frog Street Early Learning curriculum to our students at Kindred Learning Academy. Frog Street is a research-driven curriculum designed to engage and foster growth and learning at each stage for children aged 0-5, including cognitive, physical, and social-emotional learning embedded throughout the programs. The curriculum aligns with Texas Rising Star standards and prepares your students with the skills and experiences to successfully matriculate into elementary school and beyond. Frog Street helps develop a child’s lifelong love of learning. Frog Street’s purpose is to develop kinder, more confident children through comprehensive curriculum, family resources, and professional development for their teachers.

Provides intentional activities and support in five developmental domains: language, cognitive, social and emotional, physical, and approaches toward learning. Our Infant curriculum is aligned with Head Start School Readiness Goals and offers complete support for caregivers to optimize the growth and development of the children in their care. The Frog Street Infant curriculum encourages child interactions to develop rich oral language and vocabulary as well as strong social and emotional connections. During their first 12 months, infants learn, change, and grow quickly.

Children will be immersed in a language-rich environment essential for developing both receptive and expressive language skills. This toddler curriculum includes high-interest books, stories, songs, poems, and chants that will amuse and delight toddlers. The activity choices in the physical development domain provide toddlers with fun physical challenges, action songs, and games that will build coordination, balance, and muscle strength. Cognitive development elements include engaging activities that support cause-and-effect relationships and problem solving to develop foundational skills for lifelong learning. Frog Street’s toddler and 2-year-old curriculum allows toddlers to build confidence with a special emphasis on social-emotional development, learning impulse control, and developing social skills.

Enhances literacy development and creates a “social bridge” as children this age begin to interact and share with others. This curriculum for preschoolers also lays the cornerstones for math concepts such as attributes, classification, and patterns, while integrating STEAM content throughout the week.  Frog Street’s curriculum for 3-year-olds uses early brain-development research as the framework for instruction and offers strong daily routines that develop key social and emotional skills. This 3-year-old preschool curriculum also balances intentional instruction with child-directed play, and values individual differences. It provides comprehensive, integrated, thematic activities in all disciplines and domains. Adult and child interactions are encouraged to help children develop rich oral language and vocabulary as well as strong social and emotional connections.

Key learning domains are woven into every aspect of Frog Street’s curriculum for pre-k. Integrated STEAM projects promote problem-solving and beginning coding skills. Interactive digital programs support virtual learning. An exclusive partnership with the Conscious Discipline® program provides the tools for a strong social-emotional foundation. Our pre-kindergarten curriculum includes a research-based scope & sequence for literacy, math, and content domains. Acknowledging the individual needs of ALL learners, the pre-k curriculum includes strategies for differentiated instruction, and adaptations for special needs and English Language Learners, and more. Cultural responsiveness strategies are also included at point-of-use.

Frog Street includes a S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) focus throughout for all age groups.

Kinder-5th Grade

Kindred Learning Academy offers before and after school programs, as well as camps during Holiday Breaks and Summer. Our programs will provide a place to relax with friends while enjoying exciting activities and field trips. Our before and after school program will offer a homework club that will have homework assistance, allowing families to share a homework-free evening together. Kindred Learning Academy is here to provide the best experience not only for the child, but the entire family unit.

We believe that forming friendships and facing challenges together builds confidence. By offering opportunities and encouragement through our school age activities such as sports, cooking, the arts of drawing, acting, writing and music, as well as fun with technology and science, we believe our children will develop strong self-worth and respect for others. These are the skills and life experiences that will continue to be built upon, long after they graduate from Kindred Learning Academy.
